The Summer Peacebuilding Institute (SPI) at Eastern Mennonite University recently added a series of three-day workshops that we think some of you will be interested in.
These workshops are being offered in addition to 20 seven-day and five-day courses on restorative justice, trauma awareness, identity, advanced facilitation skills, modern slavery, circle processes, sexual harms, and much more, split over four sessions in May and June. You can read more about about these courses HERE.
The three-day workshops this year will include:
- Restorative Justice in Higher Education, which will focus specifically on restorative justice as an approach to justice and change within the context of educational settings and will be structured so as to allow for interaction amongst various practitioners, all engaged in the work of restorative justice in higher education.
- Crime Victims, Survivors, and Restorative Justice, where participants will learn about the intersection between trauma recovery, victim assistance and restorative justice, and develop new strategies for program implementation and service delivery.
Three-day workshops will be offered
Monday, June 18 to Wednesday, June 20
