Bronx Community-Building and Visioning Circle

  • Hostos Community College, Room B 441 475 Grand Concourse Bronx, NY, 10451 United States (map)

Restorative Justice Initiative's Bronx Restorative Justice Community Capacity-Building Project seeks to identify community leaders that have been directly impacted by school pushout and the retributive justice system, to equip them with restorative conflict resolution and community-building skills, and to support them to serve as ambassadors for a widespread justice paradigm shift.

We're partnering with community-based organizations, faith congregations and social and civic groups to organize Circles for community-groups around topics of interest and we're looking for Circle-keepers who live and/or work in the Bronx to facilitate.

We'll be holding a community-building/visioning Circle for Circle-keepers and community activists on Thursday, March 29, from 5:30PM-8:30PM at Hostos Community College, 475 Grand Concourse at (149th St.), Room B 441 and we hope you'll join us.

We'll gather to reflect on our personal and shared values, and how we can work together to cultivaterestorative values, practices and healing in our communities.

Dinner will be served.

Please CLICK HERE to RSVP no later than Wednesday, March 28.

We are particularly interested in working with student RJ practitioners in this project, so please spread the word and consider bringing a young leader with you if you're an adult who plans to attend.
