Community Connections For Youth (CCFY) will host their Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) Training Institute, a 3-day training designed to equip grassroots faith and neighborhood organizations with the tools to develop effective community-based alternatives to incarceration programs for youth

This training includes examples of restorative justice programs that are used as court diversions and RJ practitioners who work with court-involved or incarcerated youth and would like to develop their programs to prevent or mitigate youth incarceration are encouraged to attend.

The training consists of 10 modules where participants learn the fundamental principles behind successful interventions and program design:

1) A Broken System
2) A Walk Through the Juvenile Justice System
3) What Works? Evidence-Based Interventions
4) Risk, Need & Strengths Assessments
5) System Partnerships
6) Accountability & Reporting
7) Essential Program Components
8) Helping Youth Change
9) Common Pitfalls of Program Design
10) Program Planning & Development

On the last day of the training, participants spend a full day program planning and thinking strategically about their programmatic interventions and effective system-community partnerships, while getting individualized coaching from CCFY’s program specialists.

The cost of attendance is $750. Space is limited.
