Monthly Circle for School-Based Practitioners

Restorative Justice Initiative's next community-building Circle for school-based restorative practitioners will convene on Wednesday, November 14 from 5:30PM-7:30PM at 505 Eighth Avenue (Manhattan), Room 12A. If you're in the process of bringing a restorative culture shift to your school--whether you're just getting started or you're a veteran--this Circle is for you. Whether you're a classroom teacher, a dean, a school counselor, or a student; and whether you're in a public school, a charter school or an independent school, please join us and help spread the word.

The Circle is facilitated by rotating Circle-keepers. It's a space to meet and learn from fellow RJ/RP/TJ practitioners  in schools throughout the city to offer and receive support, to process the day-to-day challenges, celebrate the successes, and build capacity to advocate for change. Students and school staff are welcome.

Each Circle is focused on a particular topic, theme or question. This month, we'll focus on racism in schools and how racial inequity and bias affect ourrestorative processes. Please come prepared to share your stories and questions.

Circles will be held on the third Wednesday of each month. Upcoming dates include: 12/19. Please mark your calendars!
