Community Building Circle for Bronx Circle-Keepers

  • 3418 Gates Place Bronx, NY, 10467 United States (map)

Restorative Justice Initiative's Bronx Restorative Justice Community Capacity-Building Project seeks to identify community leaders that have been directly impacted by school pushout and the retributive justice system, to equip them with restorative conflict resolution and community-building skills, and to support them to serve as ambassadors for a widespread justice paradigm shift.

We'll be partnering with community-based organizations, faith congregations and social and civic groups to organize Circles for community-groups around topics of interest and we're looking for Circle-keepers who live and/or work in the Bronx to facilitate.

We'll be holding a community-building/visioning Circle for Circle-keepers and community activists on Thursday, January 11, from 5:00PM-8:00PM at 3418 Gates Place and we hope you'll join us.

We will gather to reflect on our personal and shared values, and how we can work together to cultivate restorative values, practices and healing in our communities.

Food will be served.

Please RSVP no later than January 8.

We are particularly interested in working with student RJ practitioners in this project, so please spread the word and consider bringing a young leader with you if you're an adult who plans to attend.

Later Event: January 12
